UAE to introduce new copyright laws

The UAE ministry of economy plans to restructure the country's intellectual property system and introduce new copyright laws, in a bid to combat piracy of films, music and innovative technologies, The National has reported. The plans include streamlined licensing with reduced bureaucracy, and tougher policing, with special intellectual piracy courts.
