The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development organizes on Monday a ceremony to honor the winners of the Al Burda Award in its 11th session, as part of the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), at the National Theatre in Abu Dhabi. Burda Awards, named after the historical poem "Burda" written by Ka'ab Ibn Zuhair praising the Prophet, was launched by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development and cover three main areas of poetry, Arabic calligraphy and the Islamic Illumination (Zakhrafa). Twenty eight calligraphers and poets will be honoured in a glittering evening in attendance of a group of Sheikhs, ministers, senior officials and scholars.
