President Abdel Fattah El Sisi honored on Thursday the winners of Egypt's international Holy Quran competition that covers Egypt and a number of countries.
He also honored the winners in the domestic competition as well as winners with special needs and mental disability competitions.
The prizes are valued at about one million pounds.
This came during the celebration organized by the Awqaf Ministry to celebrate Laylat al-Qadr.
Laylat al-Qadr is considered the holiest night of the year for Muslims, and is traditionally celebrated on the 27th day of Ramadan.
