Pope Tawadros congratulates new Armenian Catholic Patriarch

Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese on Saturday sent a message of congratulations to the new Armenian Catholic Patriarch, Grégoire Pierre XX Ghabroyan.
In the message, Pope Tawadros expressed hope that the new Armenian Catholic Patriarch will bear many fruits.
Earlier in the day, Monseigneur Gabroyan, who was bishop of the Armenian Catholics of France until April 2013, has been elected new Patriarch of the Armenian Catholic Church.
He has become the successor to Nerses Bedros XIX Tarmouni, who had died on June 25 at the age of 75.
