Algerian poet and researcher Nassima Bouslah received the International Children’s Literature award, presented every year in Qatar, announced Wednesday the Award Selection Committee.
Nassima Bouslah was distinguished in the category “Literary studies,” placed equal with Egyptian Ahmed Adel El Kodhbani.
The award will be handed Saturday to the researcher at the National Qatari Theatre at the same time as the winners of the Short Story and Theatre Awards, considered as the most important in Qatar in the field of literature for children.
Born in 1979, Nassima Bouslah, who lives in Gulf countries, made herself known in Algeria through “Hidad El Tangho” (The Mourning of The Tango), a collection of poems which would give her in 2008 the Ali-Maachi Award for young creators.
