Minister of Antiquities Mamdouh el Damati pledged that all tools and devices needed to maintain security of the historic sites in Luxor would be provided.
During a visit to the ancient sites in Luxor, the minister directed swift delivery of electronic gates for the full control of tourist destinations and sites in the upper Egyptian governorate.
Luxor Governor Mohamed Badr and assistant interior minister Maj. General Mustafa Salama joined the minister on his visit.
The minister inspected the test run of a mechanism for lighting ancient sites at the Valley of the Kings.
