By launching "Marakezna Program for Talented Youth", the ministry will contribute to improving youngsters' skills through organizing diverse youth activities and events, Misahaal Al-Subaie, director of recreational activities department at the ministry, said in a press conference.
Al-Subaie spoke highly about the role of the public youth centers, which are sponsored by the Public Authority for Youth and Sports (PAYS).
He pointed out that these centers allow youngsters to practice their hobbies under supervision of a number of specialized sport experts.
Through "Marakezna" program, the Youth Ministry is also keen to support PAYS to better deliver on its mission, he said, adding that "this is part of the ministry's strategic and consultative role in boosting youth care in cooperation with all institutions and organizations in the country." For his part, Waleed Al-Ansari, general coordinator for "Marakezna" program at PAYS, said that the program is a result of fruitful cooperation and strategic partnership between PAYS and the Youth Affairs Ministry.
He stated that the specified time schedule for "Marakezna" will be between the forthcoming period of August 31 and September 24.
Al-Ansari added that registration for the program will begin tomorrow for males, females, and people with disability aged between 16 and 24 at all public youth centers or via their websites.
