Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa chaired the 3rd meeting of the Isa Cultural Centre board of trustees’ meeting. Executive Director Dr. Khaldoun Aba Hussein said the session discussed the issues featuring on the agenda, as well as the progress of work on planned cultural programmes and projects. The panel was updated on preparations to hold a forum on Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa. The symposium is scheduled to be held in April, on the sidelines of the 28th meeting of the GCC general-secretariat for documentation and studies centres. The board urged all researchers specialized in history and documentation to get an update on the forum booklet posted on www.icc.gov.bh, which stresses the pivotal role of late Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa in laying the foundations of Bahrain’s progress and prosperity. The board was also updated on the “Vocal Art” project, which aims at reviving folkloric heritage in cooperation with the Kuwait National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters. It reviewed the activities and events conducted by the National Library and gave the go-ahead to host the first Friendship with the Blind Forum, scheduled to be held in January under the theme: “Our Gathering, Symbol of Love and Determination”.
