Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati and vice-chancellor of Sofia College of library science discussed ways of promoting Tehran-Sofia ties in cultural and scientific domains.
In a meeting between Jannati and the senior Bulgarian academician on Sunday, both sides pledged to do their best to expand cultural cooperation between the two friendly nations.
Jannati said Tehran is ready to broaden cultural cooperation through exchange of academic delegations and holding cultural exhibitions.
He further added that the two countries have prominent philosophers and intellectuals and exchange of views between them can boost their tie in other fields.
Iran is ready to set up cultural fairs to help strengthen cultural affinity between the two nations, Jannati said.
The Bulgarian official, for her part, said the aim behind her visit to Iran was to meet members of Iran-Bulgaria Female Friendship Group.
Iranian and Bulgarian officials have tried in recent years to elevate bilateral tie in various sectors.
