Secretary of the Palestine Liberation Organization Saeb Erekat
Ramallah - MENA

A senior Palestinian official on Wednesday urged Israel to abide by a UNESCO resolution considering Al Quds and Islamic sites as exclusively Islamic heritage.

Secretary of the Palestine Liberation Organization Saeb Erekat, in a released statement that was carried by the Palestinian news agency (WAFA), added that Israel is seeking to change the historical nature of the occupied holy city of Al Quds.

The Palestinian State, in coordination and cooperation with Jordan via diplomatic channels, is working to maintain the status quo of the historical holy sites in the city in line with all international resolutions and treaties, he added.
