The Bahraini Embassy in Belgium has participated in the opening of the Institute of Studies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Antwerp City.
Due to open in next September after the signing of the necessary agreements with GCC universities, the institute aims to stimulate scientific and research exchange between the university and GCC countries.
The Kingdom of Bahrain has contributed to the project through providing a group of cultural and heritage books and publications about the country.
Bahrain’s Ambassador to Belgium, Dr. Bahiya Al-Jishi, said that the initiative paves the way for consolidating cooperation in the field of education.
She expressed hope that Belgian and Bahraini universities will exchange visits to strengthen relations between the two kingdoms, and continue exchanging expertise and experiences in various fields, including education.
