8 artifacts stolen from Minya museum found

The antiquities police in Minya recovered eight artifacts that have been stolen from Mallawy Museum here in August. A citizen found the ancient relics in the area next to the educational directorate building in Mallawy and reported the incident to the police. The museum was robbed and ransacked on August 14 after security forces dispersed two large sit-ins staged by supporters of Egypt’s ousted president Mohamed Morsi in Cairo and Giza.
