Turkish Minister of Finance Mehmet Simsek stated that Turkey exported fuel and fuel oil worth of $2.8 billion to 24 countries especially to Egypt, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Brazil in 2012. Simsek responded to the parliamentary question of an MP from the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) on Thursday. Turkey exported 2.773 million tons of fuel and fuel oil worth $2.8 billion to 24 countries especially to Egypt, UAE and Brazil in 2012. Simsek also stated that the burden of tax on fuel and diesel fuel were reduced significantly since 2002.
