Kuwait oil minister visits KPI office in the Hague
Kuwait - KUNA

Kuwaiti Minister of Oil Ali Al-Omair visited the Kuwait Petroleum international (Q8) European headquarters in the Hague Thursday afternoon and met the management and the young Kuwait staff members.
Earlier he inspected the Tango petrol station at the Hague run by the KPI which has 163 Tango (tank and go) petrol stations in the Netherlands.
Azzam Al-Mutawwa, managing director for North West Europe at KPI, welcomed the minister and his accompanying delegation at the Tango station which was opened in August 2006.
Later, Al-Omair met the young Kuwaiti staffers at the KPI European headquarters and talked with them about their work and future prospects.
Around 25 Kuwaiti staffers were trained for about three months at the KPI at the Hague and then recruited by the KPI.
Joke van Wieringen, KPI corporate learning and development manager, gave a presentation to the oil minister on the training programme for the Kuwaiti staffers.
Fifty Kuwaiti graduates last year took part in the Q8 Business School in the Hague.
This 10-week business and management training programme has been designed by Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI), a subsidiary of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), one of the world's largest oil companies, and Rotterdam School of Management.
She said the programme is aimed at helping talented young Kuwaiti graduates develop an international career by exposing them to the latest business thinking and ideas in Europe.
Al-Omair is expected to meet with the Dutch foreign and economic ministers at the Hague tomorrow
