Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil Mustafa Al-Shamali on Tuesday paid an inspectional visit to Kuwait Gulf Oil Company, which is tasked with Kuwait's share of oil in the joint border region with Saudi Arabia. The minister, also Chairman of the parent Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Board, aimed in his visit to assess the production process in Joint Operations of the border cities of Wafra and Khafji, said a KGOC statement. The minister was received by Executive Chairman Ali Al-Shemmeri, Head of the Planning Department Mubarak Al-Hajri, and a number of KGOC employees. Al-Hajri presented the minister with detailed information about the company's activities in the Divided Zone, including its joint operations with the Saudi side, and the company's strategic 2030 plan and ways to apply it through a number of programs and projects. Meanwhile, Al-Shamali said he was glad to have made the visit to learn of KGOC's plans and projects, praising the efforts of its staff, and the measures taken by the company to apply the future plan. He underlined that the Ministry of Oil must continue to provide its subsidiary companies with full support, in order to help with their operation and the development of their projects
