Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) has announced a new package of special banking offers and promotions as part of its celebratory programme designed to mark the UAE's 42nd National Day in line with the general festive atmosphere that prevails across the country. The package involves exceptional banking products and financial services, including home finance, car finance and personal finance. SIB offers 42 per cent discount from the 1 per cent of transaction fees levied from customers applying for home finance. The bank will grant home finance applicants AED 4200 once the application is approved. Customers will also be able to receive a Watani prepaid card, featuring a unique design that reflects the spirit of the union, without issuance fees or annual fees for the first year. Customers applying for car and personal finance will receive AED 420 once the finance application is approved, along with free Watani prepaid cards without the need to pay annual fees for the first year. The offer will run until 1st of December 2013. SIB aims through its new offers and promotions to share with U.A.E. citizens and residents their joyful celebrations of the 42nd anniversary of the U.A.E. National Day on a wider scale. It also aims to boost its regionally recognised status in the market as one of the leading banks that provide Sharia'a compliant financial products in the U.A.E. and region, as well as to expand its client base, increase the volume of retail financing, and improve banking services provided to a large sector of clients. Speaking on the occasion, Jassim Al Baloushi, Head of Retail Banking Group at SIB, said: "The 42nd anniversary of the creation of the Federation is a very special occasion to all our hearts as we proudly recall our memories about this historical event and express our faithfulness and loyalty to the founding fathers and leaders of the nation. It is also a day on which U.A.E. citizens renew their oath of loyalty and express their determination to carry on with the march of progress and cultural development. This day also reflects the great love expatriate residents have for the country as well as all who appreciate the U.A.E.'s peaceful and balanced policies in recognition of its significant role in supporting humanitarian efforts." He added, "We are happy to launch the 42nd National Day celebrations festival in an expression of joy of this red-letter day, in line with our eagerness to promote a more joyful atmosphere in keeping with this glorious occasion. Hence, we launched a package of promotions and offers on special banking products to the public, and will continue to support such special occasions in our quest to ensure that our country is always ranked among prosperous and advanced countries in all domains." The SIB Management clarified that the offer was open to retail banking customers (employees with monthly salaries and self-employed people). The cash amount that will be given by the bank to clients whose applications for home, car and personal finance have been approved, will be deposited and debited to the Watani prepaid cards.
