Customs President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa announced on Saturday the activation of the e-payment at customs ports in cooperation with CrediMax. The move is part of the Customs Affairs’ Strategy of 2017-2020 to provide better customs services.
He said that the payment could be done through the Bahraini Dinar and Saudi Riyal of a maximum of BD500 for each currency.
He said that the payment would only be through the e-channel and this could enhance work efficiency by saving time in collecting money and depositing the amounts to the banks. Seven devices have been allocated, and it also includes e-payment for telecommunication companies and some ministries.
