Central Bank of Egypt
Cairo - MENA

The Central Bank of Egypt said on Wednesday it will work within the coming period for adopting measures and for getting necessary monetary legislations to guarantee financial inclusion, taking into consideration banking regulations and client protection principles.

The bank statement, a copy of which MENA has obtained, coincides with the call of the Council of Arab Central Banks Governors to develop monetary legislations and monitoring frameworks in Arab countries to improve financial and banking systems.

It expressed central banks' keenness on developing policies to guarantee transparency of financial services and reinforce confidence in banking system.

The Council of Arab Central Banks Governors, in earlier statement, has welcomed efforts taken by the central banks to improve financial services.

It expressed appreciation for efforts by the regional working team of the Arab Monetary Fund to provide an appropriate atmosphere to achieve financial inclusion.
