About three-quarters of U.S. adults who use the Internet say they go online for recreation, a survey released Friday said. On any given day, 53 percent of those in the 18-29 age bracket will be online for "fun," the Pew Research Center reported. Pew asked people in the survey whether they went online for "fun," and did not question them about specific activities. The survey found increasing recreational Internet use. That may be because of the increasing use of broadband connections and because many recreational activities -- including reading, television, radio and movies -- available online. Pew surveyed 2,260 adults in late July and early August. The poll has a margin of error of 2 percentage points.
