Vodafone Qatar announced the appointment of a new Chief Technology Officer. Ger Coolen will join Vodafone Qatar on 1 April 2012 as the Company's Chief Technology Officer, Vodafone said in a statement published at (Qatar Exchange) website. Ger joins from Vodafone Netherlands where he has held the position of Chief Technology Officer since 2008 and has had a succession of great achievements including winning the Netherlands Best Network Award in 2010. Vodafone Qatar's current Chief Technology Officer, Jenny Howe, will stay in Vodafone Qatar until early summer to ensure a smooth transition to Ger. Vodafone Qatar Q.S.C. engages in providing cellular mobile telecommunication services, and selling related equipment and accessories in Qatar. Vodafone Qatar Q.S.C. is a subsidiary of Vodafone Group Plc. (QNA)
