According to the authorities of Nano Club, a sum total of 10,139 people from 29 provinces of the country have registered in order to participate in the first stage examination of the Olympiads since the beginning of the registration on March 17, 2012. The statistics show a double growth in the number of participants in the Third Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Olympiads for Students in comparison with the previous years' Olympiads. Similar to the previous years, the Third Student Nanotechnology Olympiad will be held in two theoretical and practical stages. Participants who are qualified for the theoretical examination - that will be held in April - will practically compete late June. Finally, the winners of the Olympiads will be announced by taking into consideration of their score at the theoretical examination and the practical stage. The holding of the first stage examination of the Olympiads has so far been ascertained in the 19 provinces of Hamedan, Tehran, Hormozgan, Khuzestan, Semnan, Northern Khorassan, Golestan, Booshehr, Kurdistan, Qom, Ardabil, Fars, Khorassan Razavi, Isfahan, Kohgilouyeh and Boyer Ahmad, East Azarbaijan, Sistan and Balouchestan, Markazi, and Kerman.
