The Sudanese government confirmed its cooperation with African states in order to achieve common interests in different fields. It added that the world and regional collations necessitate African countries to try and find
their position among those developed countries.
The Vice President of the Republic of Sudan Haj Adam Youssef, has invited all information ministers participating in the African Union’s fourth communication conference.
This ended Thursday in Khartoum, asserting on the importance of reflecting the facts as they live it through that conference unlike the facts reflected through world media, especially western coverage on the Sudanese situation.
Youssef wished that the conference recommendations and resolutions be a strong push forward for cooperations in different fields in African countries, which he believes will improve the communication and information technology industry.
The Minister of Science and Information Issa Boshra, said: "The conference held is a critical time for Sudan and the African continent. Boshra confirmed that the government plans and programmes on the communication field are heading toward the right direction.
He mentioned the prominent role played by this sector, in supporting economy and taking the state to a developed stage from internal and external communication.
The conference said in its final statement: "Information technology and communication techniques are considered as a developmental key in Africa, its economic competitive ability and its pledge to continue implementing resolutions acquired by the African Union conference.”
The conference called for a speed in transition from analogue to digital systems and to use distant education services, and electronic medicine within the African computer network.
