Bagging a new boyfriend is fun. But it comes with a whole new set of rules and regulations. Here are some rules to observe when texting the new man in your life. Do not drunk-text If you think drunk-dialing was bad enough, well drunk-texting is even worse. And let's face it, it's not sexy at all. You have no control over what you are typing. It can be really embarrassing in the morning. Do not ignore texts Pretending that you did not receive a text and refusing to reply to/acknowledge a text, is just plain mean. If you're really not into him, say so. Playing dumb does not serve any purpose. Do not text unnecessarily In the early stages of your relationship, you can up your intelligence quotient by not bugging your man with useless info. He does not want to know if you're watching Bridget Jones' Diary for the eighteenth time. Do not be rude There is nothing more annoying that a rude texter. Nobody wants to know the extent of your expletives vocabulary. More so if you do want your guy to do the same to you. Do not break up over text That is not only rude but clearly a sign of an ill-mannered person. It is pure cowardice to break up with someone over text. Have the courage to walk up to the guy and tell him you do not want to see them anymore. He will appreciate the honesty and respect you all the more for it.
