Misty VanHorn of Sallisaw said she hoped to sell both children to a Fort Smith, Ark., woman for $4,000 or the elder child for $1,000 ,and that she needed $1,000 to bail her boyfriend out of jail, the Oklahoma City Oklahoman reported Saturday. VanHorn's bond was set at $40,000 and her children were placed in the custody of the state's Department of Human Services, police said. DHS officials had contacted police about the case, said Sallisaw Police Lt. Jeff Murray.
