A Portland, Ore., pimp sentenced to 100 years in prison for beating a john with his shoe sued Nike for failing to warn their shoes could be used as weapons. Sirgiorgiro Clardy, 26, was sentenced to 100 years in prison in 2013 for second-degree assault after using his Jordan shoes to repeatedly kick the face of a john trying to leave a hotel without paying Clardy's prostitute, the (Portland) Oregonian reported Friday. Clardy filed a $100 million lawsuit against Nike, the maker of his shoes, in Multnomah County Circuit Court saying the company should have put a warning in its shoes classifying them as a dangerous weapon. "Under product liability there is a certain standard of care that is required to be up-held by potentially dangerous product ..." he wrote. "Do [sic] to the fact that these defendants named in this Tort claim failed to warn of risk or to provide an adequate warning or instruction it has caused personal injury in the likes of mental suffering." Clardy said that since his sentencing he's tried to starve and kill himself multiple times.
