Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday called a report on the molestation of Pakistani origin women in Libya, a presidential spokesman said.The female activists, two of whom are sisters, were reportedly taking part in an aid convoy bound for Gaza that intended to try to break the Israeli blockade.Spokesperson to the president, Senator Farhatullah Babar said the president has expressed serious concern over the molestation reports and called for a report from concerned ministry.The president sought details about the steps being taken to alleviate the sufferings of the unfortunate victims, the spokesman said in a statement.Libyan deputy Prime Minister Awad al-Barassi, who visited the women in the hospital, said the victims were traveling with two male companions when they were kidnapped on Tuesday on their way to the Benghazi airport after deciding to return to Britain, British media has reported.Their 10-vehicle convoy had been carrying medical supplies and was named the "Mavi Marmara" in honor of a ship involved in a 2010 deadly flotilla incident, according to Huseyin Oruc of IHH, a Turkish humanitarian relief organization.Pakistani Foreign Ministry Spokesman Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry condemned the incident and said Islamabad is in contact with the Libyan authorities.British media reports said the accused belong to the Libyan forces and have been arrested.
