Under the patronage of Labour Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, the Ministry of Labour held here today a celebration marking Bahraini Women's Day 2914, themed 'Women in the Military Field', in the presence of a number of employees and officials at the ministry.
Labour Minister affirmed that Bahraini women's numerous local and international achievements in all fields is the result of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's unlimited support for Bahraini women to overcome the obstacles in all sectors in order to attain leading administrative positions on the local, regional and international levels.
He said that this year's theme comes as an appreciation for the Bahraini women contributions in security and military fields, defending Bahrain and protecting its gains, pointing out that the success of the women working in this sector is a part of their success in the public and private sectors.
He lauded the efforts of Supreme Council for Women (SCW) chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King, whose sound directives integrated women as an active partner in Bahrain's development march, affirming that HRH Princess Sabeeka'a support enhanced that policy of empowering Bahraini women and implementing the principals of equal opportunities in ministries and government bodies.
