Minister of Human Rights Affairs Dr. Salah bin Ali Abdul-Rahman honoured here today the ministry's female employees in all departments, marking the Bahraini Women's Day and commemorating their performance improvement.
The Minister gave a speech, in which he said that Bahraini Women's Day is a milestone in the national work march spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, considering women's participation as one of the reform project's pillars.
Bahraini woman became a partner in building the community and the democratic march through empowering her in political, economic, social and cultural fields, he said.
He lauded Bahraini women achievements in all the fields, especially the military sector which is one of the most important pillars and one of the most prominent areas in which Bahraini women were able to put their thumbprint.
The Minister pointed out that this day is a national occasion to appreciate Bahraini women, underscoring the role of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) in empowering Bahraini women in all fields out of her faith that the Bahraini woman is a key partner in the development process.
He hailed SCW's role since its establishment in empowering Bahraini women politically and economically, which a national responsibility so as to boost Bahraini women's role in the society through political, social and cultural programmes.
