France has today called for ousted Egyptian President to be released from prison. French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius stressed the stance as he met journalists in Paris, describing the current situation in Egypt as being "very critical." "France urges the renunciation of violence as well as the release of all political prisoners, including deposed president Mursi", Fabius said, calling for "dialogue" and condemning the brutal acts of violence. Mr. Fabius said that although President Mursi was elected democratically he gave the impression that he intends to Islamize the country while the economy was in shambles. "We didn't consider what happened as military coup for Egypt not to be deprived of international aid automatically", he said, adding that such categorization would worsen Egypt's economic woes.
