An Asian housemaid was referred to prosecutors in Dubai or allegedly pouring urine into the food and drinks of her employers, authorities said. Al Khaleej Times reported Wednesday United Arab Emirates nationals contacted police after they suspected their maid was spiking their meals with human waste because a strange smell emanated from their food and drinks. Maj. Ahmed Humaid al-Marri, director of the Criminal Investigation Department, said police officers sent to investigate found a bottle of urine in the maid's room. "Upon confession the maid was taken to al-Rashidiya police station," al-Marri said. The Times said the maid believed that by feeding her urine to her employers she could coerce them into raising her salary. Al-Marri said the maid was charged with endangering people's lives.
