Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), has received Bahrain Club directors headed by the board chairman Nabil Al Saie.
The two sides discussed the club revamp project’s progress as part of Muharraq the Capital of Islamic Culture 2018 and in support of productive youth activities.
The club delegation expressed their appreciation of BACA’s attention and keenness on revitalization of historic and heritage assets in the region through investment in cultural infrastructures, asserting that such visions will contribute profoundly in the of youth, sports, culture fields.
The delegation went on to visit the Bu Maher Fort Centre to familiarize with the Pearl Road project which has been listed as Global Humanitarian Heritage site.
They also toured Bahrain National Museum and admired futuristic projects which BACA aspires to unleash as part of Muharraq the Capital of Islamic Culture 2018.
