Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el-Tayyeb said a document on women's rights will be issued soon. "Al-Azhar has taken major steps towards this document," el-Tayyeb told a delegation of the Arab parliament. He denied he was facing pressure to halt issuing the document. Tayyeb slammed the communities that deprive women from their fundamental rights under the pretext of traditions and norms.
