The University of Reading will open its permanent campus in Malaysia in Iskandar Malaysia in 2014, British High Commissioner Simon Featherstone said tonight. He said this would help to promote Malaysia as a key education hub in the region. "The university's campus will be the latest in a growing band of United Kingdom (UK) universities in Malaysia. Students from Malaysia will be able to continue their studies without having to go all the way to UK," he said at the launching of Henly Business School'S Executive Education Programme here. Also present were Provost and Chief Executive Officer of University of Reading's Malaysia Campus Professor Rob Robson and Dean of Henly Business School, Professor John Board. Henly Business School represents the largest unit within the University of Reading. Until the permanent campus is ready, the university will open a temporary campus at Menara Kotaraya, Johor Baharu in May this year.
