Kota Kinabalu - Bernama

The Asian Tourism Institute (ATI) and AlmaCrest International College in Sabah earned a five-star rating in the Malaysia Quality Evaluation System (MyQuest) this year. Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun, who is also state education exco, said the two institutions are only one tier shy of the highest six-star rating in the system implemented by the Higher Education Ministry. "About 16 private institutions in Sabah were evaluated based on five categories, namely recognition of their programmes and graduates. "The students' overall achievement was also crucial in determining a higher rating," he told reporters during the announcement of the star rating of Sabah private institutions of higher learning here today. He said the institutions' facilities and quality management system were also taken into account for the evaluation.
