A new graduate rich list has revealed the universities where students are most likely to become multi-millionaires. Oxford comes top after producing 401 alumni worth £20 million or more, and Cambridge is in second place with 361 - but Cambridge has the most billionaires. According to ultra high net worth (UHNW) researcher, Wealth-X, the average super-rich graduate from Cambridge has a fortune of £169 million, more than twice as much as Oxford's ultra-wealthy ex-students. Three London universities make up the rest of the list's top five, with Manchester, Nottingham and Birmingham also appearing high on the list. The University of Manchester and the University of Warwick have the highest percentage of male representation at 96 percent while King’s College London has the highest percentage of female representation at 20 percent. The University of Birmingham has the highest percentage of self-made millionaires at 84 percent. Commenting on the report, Mike Byrne, European Sales Director, Wealth-X, noted: "17 out of the 24 Russell Group universities are featured in the report, which reflects the ability of such prestigious institutions to attract high calibre individuals, who proceed to create financial success." Wealth-X CEO, Mykolas Rambus added, "Our analysis conveys the global nature of these UHNWIs, many of whom have multiple residences, reinforcing the need for educational institutions to identify, build and maintain closer relationships with these potential major donors."
