A delegation from Washington State University (WSTU) visiting the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) has explored academic cooperation between the two universities.
The delegation led by WSTU's Vice-Chancellor for International Relations, Jerman Rose, and the Director of International Programmes Development, Jack Purdie who toured the AGU's departments, colleges and expressed their admiration of the advanced medical services provided at the University's Medical Centre in the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Medical City as well as latest developments in the Princess Al-Jowhara's Molecular, Genetic and Hereditary Diseases Centre.
AGU's Vice President Dr. Khalid Tabbarah said that the meeting aimed to boost future cooperation between WSTU and AGU. The delegation discussed future cooperation proposals, student and teaching staff exchange plan. The delegation praised the role of Arabian Gulf University as a joint-GCC institution as an expertise house in the Gulf region capable of effectively contributing to cope with development challenges in the GCC-member countries through innovative educational and research programmes.
