Cairo - MENA

A state of relative calm prevailed at Al-Azhar University, after the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) students ended their protests today to call for the release of their detained colleagues. Calm returned to the university after a day full of protests, said Vice President of Al-Azhar University Tawfik Nour el-Din. He, meanwhile, said that study at university will not be suspended, adding that the number of protesting students do not surpass 400. Dozens of MB students protested at Al-Azhar University in Nasr City on Monday in front of the university’s administrative building demanding the release of students held in recent protests as well as deposed President Mohamed Morsi.
