The Minister of Education cum University of Bahrain (UoB)'s Board of Trustees Chairman, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi and the University of Bahrain (UoB)'s Chancellor, Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Janahi, this morning received at the University of Bahrain Chancellor's Office in Sakhir a member of the High Academic Board of Al-Qarawiyeen University Dr. Mohammed Al-Rooky and Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Wafi, and explored with them aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two universities, emanating from close bilateral bonds between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco. The UoB's Chancellor explored with his Moroccan counterpart the University of Bahrain's phases of development and its future plans. The Moroccan delegation toured the University of Bahrain's various facilities and amenities. After the meeting, the UoB's Chancellor stated that "It has been a cause of pride for the University of Bahrain to explore aspects of cooperation with Al-Qarawiyeen University for various reasons, primarily as this translates close cooperation and friendly relations between the wise leaderships of both countries and the two brotherly peoples and also because this cooperation reflects real interaction between Arab universities, lauding Al-Qarawiyeen University as one of the ancient universities in the world established more than 1150 years ago and which has its distinctive academic programs and vast expertise in various fields.
