Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan
Abu Dhabi - WAM

The Scholarship and Cultural Foreign Relations Department of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has issued an electronic guide for graduates of 2014 on scholarships to study abroad, for those who received degrees in several disciplines. The guide on its website includes the names of graduates during the period of October 2013 to October 2014, their specialties, and grades according to the countries of study.
The guide contains a message from Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to the graduates where he congratulated them on their achievements and wished them continued success. He said, "The UAE has a significant interest in human building by providing educational opportunities for all children of the state, through the establishment of universities or by sending students to study abroad and thus provide the country with national cadres eligible to participate in the development of the state in all fields and to build a knowledge society.
"Today we are witnessing the fruits of the precious efforts of the state through this group of graduates and the role that awaits them to give back to their country and contribute to nation-building and sustainable development. Finally, I congratulate you on this achievement and wish you success in your careers." The Ministry of Higher Education And Scientific Research announced that 277 scholars graduated in 2014, and the Ministry sent them to study in 17 Arab and foreign countries, in thirteen majors represented by medical sciences, genetics, engineering, finance and banking, management sciences, computer science, education, science, political science, tourism and hospitality, Sharia and law, media and environmental sciences. 80.5 percent of them received a Bachelor’s Degree, 14.8 percent Master's Degree, 3.9 percent a Doctorate, 0.36 percent a Fellowship Degree.
