Education Minister Majid bin Ali al-Nuaimi
Manama - BNA

Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi has said that school guards will be doubled, security patrols will be intensified and security cameras will be installed in some areas where terror attacks on schools increased dramatically, noting that the number of attacks on education facilities have reached 420 so far.
In a statement to "Al-Watan" newspaper, the Minister said "terrorists are still targeting our schools in a desperate attempt to affect the natural flow of the educational process," stressing that the process will go ahead in order to achieve its goals despite terrorism and instigators.
He said the attacks on schools reached 420 ones, including hurling Molotov cocktails at schools, smashing their windows and doors and stealing fire extinguishers, which are meant to ensure the safety of students in case of fire, to use them in terrorist operations, which, he said, confirms the lack of conscience among terrorists.
Dr. Al-Nuaimi lauded the crucial role played by the security bodies, and their constant cooperation to ensure the safety of schools, students and staff, noting that cooperation and coordination with them will continue.
He stressed the importance of "community partnership" in protecting schools, which, he said, are national civilisational gains for all the citizens and therefore should be protected by all and distanced from non-educational practices.
