Prime Minister Sherif Ismail said the Cabinet was keen to retain the success of the Nile Egyptian Schools as an important model for educational services offered by the government.
Serious and constant follow-up and evaluation have to be carried out on the performance of the Nile Egyptian Schools, so they continue to offer highly distinguished educational services to all Egyptians, the prime minister said while chairing a board meeting of the Education Development Fund Monday.
Measures have to be completed to offer high school equivalency certificates to the graduating students so they can join the different universities, Ismail said.
Ismail agreed on the schools' needs for teachers and administrative services to ensure their efficiency and high education quality, Cabinet spokesman Hossam Qawish said.
The meeting also set the terms and conditions for student enrollment at the schools and their tuition fees for the academic year 2016/2017, the spokesman said.
On a different subject, the meeting agreed to form a board of trustees for the Egyptian E-Learning University and ratified the proposed names before issuing a decision in this regard, the spokesman said.
The meeting approved in principal the start of detailed studies for a project to establish an integrated technological education complex in Sohag, Upper Egypt, to be submitted to the Fund board.
