Ambassador of Japan to Egypt Takehiro Kagawa on Wednesday announced the launching of a new educational training program through financing new development projects.
During a visit to Benha University's main campus, the diplomat said the initiative provides funds needed for building a number of solar energy and wind fields.
President of Benha University Ali Shams El Din accompanied the diplomat during the visit.
The diplomat said Japan is keen on supporting education and training programs in Egypt as part of a joint initiative to create new jobs for the youth.
The education and training files would be a priority for President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's planned visit to Tokyo in March, the diplomat said.
Earlier, Kagawa held a meeting with Qalioubia Governor Reda Farhat and signed a protocol of cooperation.
