Signing agreement

Bahrain has today signed an agreement with Microsoft Corporation to optimise the use of information technology in education. Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi sealed the deal with Sharif Tawfiq, General Manager of Microsoft Corporation for Bahrain and Oman, in the presence of Anthony Salcito, Vice President of Education for the Microsoft Worldwide Education organization.
The sealed memorandum of understanding falls within the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to launch the Digital Education Empowerment Project. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the 8th Global Educational Supplies and Solutions Exhibition and Global Education Forum (GESS 2015), being held in Dubai under the theme "Modern Education Strategy for Economic Growth".
