Beirut - KUNA

Schools and Universities in Tripoli were shutdown while traffic was at an almost complete halt due to the clashes which occurred between the Bab Al-Tabaneh and the Jabal Mohsen areas. Head of the faculty of science in Tripoli branch of the Lebanese University Ziyad Al-Fawal said that exams for the current period were postponed until the situation calms, adding that administrative work at schools and other educational facilities were shutdown until further notice. Clashes since yesterday left three people dead and 12 others injured. The Lebanese authorities held a meeting yesterday to tackle the issue and to bring peace and stability back to the area.
