Amman - KUNA

Students abroad should do their best to contribute to the country's development and surely their success is a vital investment to Kuwait's future, National Assembly Speaker Marouq Al-Ghanim said here late Monday. Speaking at a dinner banquet organized by Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan Dr. Hamad Al-Duaij, Al-Ghanim affirmed that this gathering was important to look into the needs and aspirations of Kuwaiti students. He said that the National Assembly was keen on helping students in Jordan to complete their studies in order for them to contribute to Kuwait's future. Focusing on Al-Ghanim's visit, Ambassador Al-Duaij said that the Speaker's visit was vital for bolstering relations between Jordan and Kuwait. He also noted that Al-Ghanim's meeting with the students reflected the Kuwaiti legislative authority's support to those who seek knowledge. On his part, Cultural Attache at the Kuwaiti Embassy Dr. Mohammad Al-Dhafiri said that the parliamentary delegation expressed interest in supporting students during their academic career. He also affirmed that the Kuwaiti diplomatic mission was coordinating with Jordanian authorities to facilitate procedures for Kuwaiti students in Jordan. Al-Ghanim's visit to Jordan is part of a tour that will also take him to Turkey and Switzerland.
