The Rector of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) Dr. Khalid Al-Sultan has met here with Executive President of World Organization for Press and Publication Christoph Reese. In a press statement following the meeting, Reese said, "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an important country in the world and its media sector is promising", indicating that media companies should keep pace with the global importance of the Kingdom and take advantage of its great opportunities through investment and spending more money in the field of research and development. He noted that the Organization represents 18,000 printed newspapers and 15,000 electronic newspapers.
