Abu Dhabi - WAM

The Central Operations Sector at the Emirates Identity Authority discussed with a delegation from the UAE Education Sector ways to bolster cooperation between the two sides aimed at improving operational performance, simplifying procedures and developing customer service. Discussions also explored how Education Sector can benefit from data and information provided by Emirates ID for verifying and authenticating individuals' identity. The visiting delegation affirmed the readiness of educational institutions in the UAE for the implementation of the e-link project with Emirates ID during the new academic year 2013-2014. During the meeting, held recently at Emirates ID headquarters in Abu Dhabi, the two sides discussed concepts related to the structure of e-linking Emirates ID and other government entities and best means for those entities to benefit from the database possessed by the Authority. This is aimed at achieving modernization in the various sectors in the country, particularly the Education sector. The two sides highlighted that all schools in the UAE adopt the Emirates ID card as a primary proof of identity upon registering students. The visiting delegation included Khaled Al Mulla, Director of Quality Control Management at Ministry of Education, Abdurrahman Hasan Nasser, Customer Relations Manager at the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), and Aisha Ghanem Al Marri, Head of Assessment and Examinations Department at KHDA. The meeting was attended from Emirates ID side by Aisha Al Raisi, Director of Central Operations Sector and Hasan Abd Rabbuh, Manager of the e-link Project with government entities.
