The Ministry of Labour has recently launched an upgraded version of its website, which is fairly recognised by its new designs and state-of-the-art mechanisms attracting over 66.5 million users, allowing both employers and employees a unique services experience.
Mubarak Al-Dhaheri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Labour has stated that the newly upgraded website comes as part of the ministry's keenness to update its online software technologies, to implement the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to shift towards a smart government.
"The new webpage meets the needs of our audience and responds to different inquiries more efficiently, allowing users to access services more easily even through their smart phones," he said, adding that the site has updated all its previous channels especially in terms of receiving and responding to inquiries, an electronic questionnaires was also added to note public opinions, and a FAQ section that includes the most important questions concerning the labour market.
The website development team developed the components in terms of the users viewpoint, as they've spread those components across the home screen according to their priority.
"The website was re-designed in the first place to better serve our two most important segments in the labour market the employers and the employees. The page has been classified according to the most required sectors, namely the labour affairs sector and the inspections department sector and so on, making it easier for the users to access the required services as per priority," Al-Dhaheri said.
The new site has been designed according to Federal government standards, which comes in line of becoming a united identity with the rest of government websites, which gives a sense of governmental interdependence and integration amongst various ministries and federal authorities.
The development team has fully integrated social networking mechanisms across the page, i.e. a "Twitter" page button, which has a wide range of interactive functions, such as communicating with officials, blogs and special response forums that will help interact with audience more effectively and responsibly.
