The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Indonesia launched its official Facebook page on April 5, 2012, according to an embassy press statement.
The account is Facebook.com/RusEmbJakarta. The page will contain information focusing on Russias foreign policy, Russian-Indonesian relations, and activities of the Russian Embassy in Indonesia.
In its statement, officials said all other Facebook accounts which claim to belong to the Russian Embassy in Jakarta are false, while information they contain may not accurately report the actual state of Russian affairs.
The new Facebook page is expected to help increase awareness about Russia among the Indonesian public.
