Now, all the details of the race season at the Yas Marina Circuit is just a hand swipe away. This comes in the form of the YasHUB smartphone and tablet app, which will provide the latest info during the build up to this year's Formula 1 race.
It also allows multiple aspects of race goers' weekends to be tailored into a bespoke package. The app represents a collaboration between the circuit's promoters and its external partners - SMG Mobility, the mobile division of Starcom MediaVest Group - and Flip Media.
Free for download on the Apple and Google Play stores, features include a ticket selector that allows race goers to tailor their own ticketing package from a range of options, from choice of seating, food and beverages and entertainment through to Paddock or VIP access options.
All through to the actual racing day, the app updates users on the latest Formula 1 developments. "Its development signifies Yas Marina Circuit's evolution away from our previous incarnation as a traditional advertiser for our first ever Grand Prix race in 2009 towards our new reality as a content publisher and media brand,” said Nick McElwee, Director of Sales and Marketing for the promoter. "A brand that is highly active in the social space and one that builds meaningful and lasting interactions with our thousands of global fans.”
The Circuit had commissioned the app especially as part of a wider strategy to provide digital solutions that can improve customer engagement experiences.
